Mr. Lovell joined in 2019 and focuses on Sightway’s Quantitative Private Investments initiative.
Prior to joining, Dan worked as a feature engineer for Two Sigma’s Datanomics group where he worked on generating alpha from alternative data. Prior to Two Sigma, Dan was a consulting data scientist for Continuum Analytics. In this role, he worked with client facing / on-site software and algorithm development. Prior to Continuum, he was an independent consultant where he architected, managed and developed a predictive database engine called CrossCat for DARPA’s XDATA program. Previously he served as a vice president at Bryn Mawr Capital Management, a quantitative equity market neutral fund, where he worked in quantitative equity model development & trading. Previously, Dan also held positions as an assistant research engineer at Penn State Applied Research Lab and as a systems engineer II at Northrop Grumman. Dan holds an M.Eng. and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
